READY-TO-USE

  • Eric Curtis has created a spreadsheet assignment for MS & HS students that is both fun and ready-to-use. Students will take the 12 Days of Christmas Song and analyze the data. If you want a little PD, watch his presentation on how to incorporate Google Sheets into your own curriculum: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rxym4PHCBg

  • One of my favorite websites to find Google Slide & Powerpoint templates for free is Slidesmania created by Paula Martinez. But did you know you can also find templates created and shared by other educators on her site as well?

  • Now that I have you hooked on Slidesmania, make sure to follow her on Twitter. She will show you easy design hacks like how to create pretty titles with gradient colors.

  • This Google Slide activity titled Virtual Ugly Sweater Contest by Jeni Tahaney is a nice way to combine technology with writing skills.

  • December is the month for gift-giving and to recognize those around us with appreciation. Ving is a new platform to help do just that. On VING, you can nominate someone who you feel deserves a boost. If your nomination is selected, they will send you a $1000.00 check for you to hand-deliver. Nominate someone today!
