MAGIC EXERCISE BOOK

One of the professional groups I follow on Facebook is called Teachers Using Google Suite for Education, many people have posted about a new add-on called Magic Exercise Book. This had me intrigued so I decided to check it out.

What is Magic Exercise Book? - It is an add-on that was made specifically for Google Classroom to add pages to an existing Doc shared to the students as an assignment.

Why would I Need It? - If you are a teacher that likes to present students with a workbook, this may be a better solution than having to constantly add assignments. You can create one single assignment in Google Classroom and then use this add-on to add “pages” whenever you need.

Does it only work with Docs? - nope, you can use it to add slides to an existing Google Slide presentation as well. Click here for the add-on.

This add-on is relatively new as there are not a lot of reviews or tutorial videos available. But if you want to give it a try, go here to download the add-on. The people who created this add-on do have a Google Site full of other information you might enjoy. You can check it out here.

Google Keep & Google Docs

Google Keep + Google Documents Together at last Okay, I admit I am slightly old-fashioned when it comes to making list &/or notes. I have a pile of scrap paper on my desk in which I like to grab to jot down a note or two while I work. In most cases, this system works very well as the notes serve only a temporary purpose. G Suite: New name, same products

From GAFE to G Suite You have probably heard by now Google has recently announced a new name for all of their Google Apps For Education and Business accounts. The new title is  G Suite.  Along with the new name comes a few new features. Listed below are just two of them:  In Google Docs, you can now use columns. To find out how, go to:  https://goo.gl/0mBIS0 In Docs, Sheets, and Slides, comes a tool called  Explore.  Explore uses technology to offer suggestions such as design tips or research recommendations.
